Water

The Beach
The beach offers excellent swimming and surfing conditions, and has been noted as one of the best surf beaches on the east coast. Wander along the beach into Terrigal. At Terrigal small ocean rock pool tucked into the cliff at the southern end . Also at the southern end of Terrigal Beach is Terrigal Haven, a protected boat harbour with boat ramp, fishing charters, scuba diving and snorkelling, picnic and barbecue facilities.

Surf smart programs are run by the council at the local beaches, Details are usually published in the local paper. Surf Life Saving Club patrols the beach during the summer months.

Water activities

Diving
Terrigal Diving School on the waters edge of Terrigal Haven. You can hire fins, mask, snorkels and wetsuits. Terrigal Diving School also offers introductory diving lessons as well as full certificate courses. Phone (02) 4384 1219.

Pro dive
Terrigal haven is a great shore dive and one that will impress even the most ardent diver.
Large Bull rays, schools of Yellowtail and hungry Eastern Blue Wrasse or Blue gropers follow divers over the sandy bottom around boat moorings. Ph: 4389 3483
