Ocean Beach to Pearl Beach
Walk around the rocks at the southern end of Ocean Beach to Pearl Beach .

Ocean Beach and Umina
The official lookouts lie to the north of the car park. Just follow the signs. It is a very short distance. The northernmost lookout faces northwards up Ocean Beach to Ettalong and Wagstaff. From here the shallowness of Brisbane Water is apparent from the shoals and sandbars over which the waves break offshore. To the east is Brisbane Water National Park.

Crommelin Native Arboretum
At the end of Diamond Rd turn right into Crystal Ave, a 4.5-ha flora sanctuary with grassed areas, wetlands, patches of temperate rainforest and open forest .

Warrah Lookout
From Pearl Beach Rd and take the sharp left into Patonga Drive. About 2.3 km from the Mt Ettalong Lookout a branch road to the left which will take you 1.2 km along a dirt road to Warrah Trig. The enjoyable Tony Doyle Walking Trail leads to a lookout directly out over Broken Bay 200 m below. There are some colourful wildflowers from July to October and Christmas bells. Just near the lookout, the Doyle Track crosses over a dirt road. For the enthusiastic walker a left turn will take you back to Pearl Beach and a right to Patonga.

Amethyst Avenue – Waterfall
Walk up Amethyst Avenue to its end.  Take the track on the right.  This leads up to a lovely waterfall.  There is a lookout to the NE (200m away) on a rocky ledge and a rock swimming pool 250m further upstream.

Paul Landa Park
This is located at the top of Green Point Road and affords wonderful views of Lion Island.  Walk to the south end of Diamond over the bridge turn left and walk up the hill.

Crystal Avenue Fire Trail
Walk the length of Crystal Avenue to the fire trail towards Warrah Trig.  There is a short track off to the left to Warrah Lookout.  The view out over Broken Bay is magnificent.  Continue on the track for 300m and branch left down the hill on the Patonga Trail towards Patonga.  On reaching a point above Dark Corner, turn left at a junction and walk down to the rocks and a lovely little beach.  Then walk along Patonga Beach to the mouth of Patonga Creek.
You may like to follow the eastern bank of Patonga Beach for about 1.5km upstream.  Return by the same route to Umina.
If a car shuttle can be arranged, there are spots worth exploring on the drive back to Umina.  Note the tessellated pavement on the left side of the road.  A little further on, on the right is a minor track to Elephant Rock, a vast expanse of sandstone, with views of the lower Hawkesbury River.  The next stop is Waratah Patch on the left, named for its abundance of Waratahs – in flower around October.  Drive further on, past the Pearl Beach turn-off (200m) and turn right onto a side road at a reservoir to Mt Ettalong for fantastic coastal views.
